JOIN THE TEAM
COVID UPDATE: Fusion Dance Team will now be holding in-person practices. As per the CDC requirements, all dancers must wear a mask covering their mouth and nose during practice and team events.
In order to be considered for the 2022 open/audition dance rosters, you MUST join in the Fall and attend all company practices with the exception of 2 unexcused absences (company practices are held every Monday from 8-9PM). During Fall company practices, we will be holding technique classes to help better prepare us to perform. We will start choreographing the company production piece at the beginning of the Spring semester. In addition to company, all dancers must also participate in 2 hours of community services and attend 2 fundraisers. We hope you consider joining the Fusion Dance Team this fall!

We begin every fall semester with an Interest Meeting and Open Practice. Attend either of these events to get important membership information and forms. You can also find us at the campus involvement fair.

Membership Requirements:
Fusion Dance is a club team at Towson University and as such, must fulfill specific requirements. Members, therefore, have additional duties beyond attending practice. See the list below for duties.​

Mandatory Company practice every Monday night

Commitment to perform in the end-of-year showcase (April/May)

Yearly company dues (not exceeding $30)​

Completion of TWO hours of community service PER semester

Participation in TWO fundraisers PER semester to help fund the team

Involvement in team social events and collaborative events with other groups on campus (strongly encouraged, but not required)

Dancers will learn and perform a short section of choreography from each routine. Choreographers will then select dancers to be cast.
Auditions take place at the beginning of the fall semester in September. Follow our Instagram for announcements related to auditions.

To keeps things fair and ensure everyone gets a shot, dancers may only participate in 5 dances a semester (non-inclusive of solos/duets/trios, senior piece, and company production piece). Dancers may audition for as many (or as few) dances as they wish, but will be asked to choose if cast in more than 5.
